If I become an author, what is expected of me?
Although we do not have any requirements of our authors per se, you will be expected to submit original, quality articles written by yourself and owned by you. We also expect you to consider your author status a privilege and therefore we expect that you will make a commitment to submit articles with some regularity.

Will I be paid as a "The Travel Magazine" author?
No; however, it is not uncommon for authors to be solicited for freelance writing work.

Do I retain ownership of my articles published?
Yes. "The Travel Magazine" is a "self-publishing" site. That is, when you publish with us, you are giving us permission to print articles written and owned by you. You retain all ownership. We have the right to publish your work as long as you allow it. You may remove articles at any time, publish them elsewhere once they are removed from our website, and use them in any way you wish. The only caveat here is that you must own the article in order to publish it on this magazine. If you don't own the article, and "The Travel Magazine" becomes aware of this, the article will be removed from this site, and your author account may be closed or removed entirely.

How do I submit an article? What is the process and how does it work?
Once your author application is approved, we will send an email notification to you with important instructions for setting up your author page. Once you’ve completed the instructions, you are ready to submit articles.
Step 1: Write an article. Once you decide what you want to write about, research your topic and begin writing.
Step 2: Submit your article for editorial review.

Step 3: Editorial review. Our editors will review and, if necessary, edit any grammatical errors in your article. Editorial review typically takes 1 – 2 days depending on the number of articles requiring review at that time. Once the editorial review is complete, we will publish your article and send an email to you indicating that it has been published.
